EYSA Philosophy

We exist to promote the teaching of soccer to our children in an atmosphere that is non-competitive, fun and helps our children become the best they can be. To achieve that goal:

  • We do not honor individuals or teams, publish standings or sponsor playoff competition.
  • We permit 2 practice sessions per week beginning May 1st through June 1st.
  • We require coaches to make every effort to play each child at least one half of each game in which they participate.

Additional Coaches' Responsibilities

  • Insure our game jerseys are not altered in any way.
  • Require players to wear shin guards under their game socks and wear shoes that are designed for soccer.
  • Be a positive role model for your team. Dress appropriately, leave tobacco and alcohol products at home and show respect for the decisions of the referee.
  • Remove those players from the game who are not behaving in a courteous, polite, civil manner.
  • Keep players and their family members from hanging on or playing around the soccer goals.
  • Upon receiving your roster, please call all your players on a timely basis.

For Your Information

  • Season begins June 1st and ends by early August.
  • In handing out your game jerseys, be sure to match shirt sizes from your roster with each player's name.
  • Be sure to check the website for more information and details on field locations, sponsors, board member contacts and the rules of the game.
